Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh (Main, Oakland)'s 11th Annual summer Reading Extravaganza includes live entertainment and free family activities.
Amethyst will teach a free bellydance workshop in the outside tent, at 12:30 p.m. Tribe of Azhar will perform a free bellydance show in the Quiet Reading Room, at 3:30 p.m., accompanied by live musicians Tom Moran (oud) and Rich Ermlick (doumbek). ElectroBelly and friends performed a bellydance show as part of the Horror Cabaret, at the 2011 Pittsburgh Horror Realm Convention.
Also in September, Amethyst of ElectroBelly hosted a show and workshop weekend with Hannah Romanowsky (details below).

Amethyst hosted a show and workshop weekend in Pittsburgh in September, 2011, featuring headliner and Dance Ethnologist Hannah Romanowsky. Hannah will return to Pittsburgh in June 2012 for another show and workshop weekend! For information on the 2012 events, click here.
